Lawrence County States Attorney Brady Waldrop has announced the sentencings of two local residents to prison terms in Lawrence County Circuit Court (LCCC). Both 20 year old Roman Gossett and 18 year old Alex Perry of Lawrenceville pled guilty to charges of Residential Burglary, a Class 1 Illinois Felony and Aggravated Battery. a Class 3 Illinois Felony. Each was given 15 years on the Aggravated Battery charge and 5 years on the Residential Burglary charge. Those sentences will run concurrently. Both men also will be on up to 1 1/2 years of mandatory supervised release after their sentences end.
