Lawrence County States Attorney Brady Waldrop has announced that two people received prison sentences during appearances this week in Lawrence County Circuit Court.
53 year old Bobby Smith of Lawrenceville was given 1 1/2 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) to be followed by up to 6 months of mandatory supervised release for Unlawful Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, a Class 3 Illinois felony.
42 year old Robert Clay of Bridgeport was handed 3 years in the IDOC to be followed by up to 6 months of mandatory supervised release on a charge of Aggravated Assault, a Class 4 Illinois felony.
