Indiana State Police (ISP) are continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the shooting deaths of two people in the town of Shelburn in Sullivan County.
Around 4 a.m. ET Monday, troopers were dispatched after a 911 call was received about a shooting at a residence in Shelburn. They arrived on scene and attempted to make contact with any individuals inside but received no response. Deputies and troopers then entered the home and discovered the bodies of a dead male and female. The woman had been shot, and the man had a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as 81-year-old Keith Sheffler and 75-year-old Judy Sheffler both of Shelburn.
