Two people with active arrest warrants were captured by law enforcement following a Tuesday pursuit.
Parke County deputies engaged in a vehicle pursuit involving a Chevrolet Silverado on CR 625 N near CR 100 E. The vehicle was being operated by Margaret Hobson, 43, of Marshall, Ind., who was found to have an active arrest warrant out of Vigo Circuit Court. A passenger, later identified as Justin Rickets, 37, also of Marshall, was also found to have an active arrest warrant issued by the same court.
The pursuit continued for approximately 16 miles through county roads, SR 47 and concluded in Montgomery County in Browns Valley. The Parke County K9 Unit was deployed to assist in the apprehension of the suspects. Hobson sustained minor injuries during the apprehension and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for evaluation before being released.
Both Hobson and Rickets were subsequently booked into the Montgomery County Jail, where they remain held on their Vigo County warrants.
Information regarding the pursuit involving Hobson will be forwarded to the Parke County Prosecutor's Office for review and potential charges of Reckless Driving and Resisting Law Enforcement with a vehicle.
