TERRE HAUTE, Indiana (DLC Media) - Over the weekend officers from the Terre Haute Police Department were conducting a traffic stop for multiple infractions. While checking the driver's identification, it was found that he had multiple felony warrants. When this was discovered, the suspect fled which resulted in a short police chase around the 1700 block of Blaine Avenue._x000D_ _x000D_ Once police tracked down the suspect, a K9 unit dog was released to apprehend the suspect, who was identified as 32-year-old Joshua Easton. While investigating the vehicle, it was found that the vehicle contained two handguns, a shotgun, and substances that are presumed to be methamphetamine and marijuana._x000D_ _x000D_ Along with Easton, 38-year-old Heather Maugans was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, dealing of meth, and maintaining a common nuisance. Easton's charges include Felony resisting law enforcement, possession of paraphernalia, battery to a law enforcement animal, and maintaining a common nuisance, along with the existing felony warrants.
