The city of Sumner has informed GIANT-FM News that the recently imposed boil order has now been lifted.
That boil order was issued Monday afternoon for residents on Illinois State Route 250, from the Sumner water tower west to 3193 State Route 250 on both sides of the roadway. The boil order was implemented due to a water main break.
City officials also say that the scheduled residential trash pickup on Friday, December 26th will be delayed. That pickup will now occur Saturday, December 27th due to the Christmas holiday.
