McCordsville Police Department responded to Geist Montessori Academy (GMA) regarding a report of threats made by a juvenile student.
The student was detained Tuesday and is under investigation for making threats at the school. Investigators are preparing a report for submission to the Hancock County Prosecutor’s Office, which will review the case and determine any potential criminal charges.
There is no active threat to the safety of staff or students at GMA. Out of an abundance of caution, the McCordsville Police Department will have an increased presence in and around the school in the coming days.
