The Marshall County Historical Society and Museum is inviting the community to step back into the 1880s for its third annual fundraiser, "Boots and Bowties," taking place on June 19 at the iconic REES Theatre.

The highly anticipated casino night will run from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and features a vibrant theme inspired by the infamous Huckleberry Marsh, a historic boomtown in Marshall County. Attendees are strongly encouraged to don their best Western attire for the occasion.

Guests can expect an evening filled with excitement as they try their luck at classic casino games, including craps, blackjack, poker, and roulette. The event will also feature a special appearance by the legendary Huckleberry Queen.

Beyond the gaming tables, the $50 ticket includes a catered dinner, indulgent desserts, live music, and entertainment, along with $25 in casino chips. A cash bar will also be available.

Attendees can also dive into a silent auction featuring a wide array of items donated by local businesses and individuals, ensuring there is something for everyone.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will directly support the museum's year-round community programming and fund vital technology upgrades, helping the organization continue its mission to preserve and share the county's history for generations to come. Museum officials extended a special thank you to Zentis for sponsoring the event.

Organizers urge the public to act fast, as tickets are limited and currently on sale. Tickets can be purchased through the following methods:

For local businesses or individuals interested in supporting the cause, sponsorship opportunities for both the event and the silent auction are still available. Interested parties are encouraged to call the museum for more details.
