This will allow maintenance work to be done over the Coal Creek bridge.
The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced temporary lane closures that will impact State Road 234 in Cayuga, stretching across Vermillion and into Parke County.
Beginning on or after Friday, crews will close the eastbound lane of S.R. 234 between the intersection of S.R. 63 and S.R. 234, and Coal Creek. This will allow maintenance work to be done over the Coal Creek bridge.
Work on the eastbound lane is expected to last until mid-October. After work on the eastbound lane is complete, crews will switch to the westbound lane and continue work until late November.
All work on this project is weather permitting and subject to change.
