The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a temporary road closure that will impact State Road 236 in North Salem.
Beginning on or after Monday, April 14, crews will close S.R. 236 between S.R. 75 and County Road 650 N. This will allow crews to safely complete roadway rehabilitation, including asphalt resurfacing and a superstructure replacement. Work is anticipated to last until late-July but is weather-dependent and subject to change.
The official detour around the closure is U.S. 231 to S.R. 234 to U.S. 136 to S.R. 39. INDOT encourages drivers to seek an alternate route and to use caution while traveling near work zones.
