During a Marshall County Commissioners meeting, bids were opened from two companies who answered their request for proposals to assist in determining the work that needs to be done to the County Jail
They then assist with the bid process and make sure the contractor makes the necessary repairs correctly.
The two bids came from JPR, Jones Petrie and Rafinski out of South Bend and Elkhart and DLZ Corporation from South Bend and Mishawaka.
JPR’s proposal for consulting services was $69,525 while DLZ said their assessment for the repairs and restoration fee was $14,522.50 and other services that might be involved would follow their fee base.
The proposals were taken under advisement for review by the three commissioners and John Green the Maintenance Director at the Jail. It’s anticipated that a decision could be made at the next Commissioner’s meeting on Monday, May 6th.
