Next week, the Plymouth Community School Corporation (PCSC), in partnership with the Zac Mago Foundation, will host a Youth Heart Screening on Thursday, March 19, at the Lincoln Junior High School, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The screening is designed to help identify potential heart conditions in young people and promote awareness of cardiac health. The event is open to youth ages 10–25. The $25 screening fee for non-PCSC students will be waived for all Plymouth Community School students.

Participants will receive:

● Personal and family heart health history review

● Height and weight measurement

● Blood pressure screening

● Electrocardiogram (ECG)

● Limited echocardiogram

● Review of results by a board-certified cardiologist

Screenings may help detect conditions such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, Long QT syndrome, Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW), cardiomyopathies, and other structural or electrical heart abnormalities that can increase the risk of sudden cardiac events.

In addition to heart screenings, participants will learn hands-only CPR and how to properly use an AED, empowering students and families with life-saving knowledge.

Registration is required and can be completed online at: https://zacmagofoundation.org/
