Officer Krynock with the Plymouth Police Department arrested 45-year-old Mandy K. Leyba of Mishawaka just before 8 p.m. on Friday, March 10th after city police were dispatched to Best One Tire on North Oak Drive for a suspicious female walking in the area.
Leyba was located and found to have outstanding warrants in Michigan City and Goshen. She was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail to await extradition. She was released to another jurisdiction at 1:07 Saturday morning.
At approximately 11:30 Friday night, March 10th Officer Taberski with the Plymouth Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2500 block of Lake Avenue for a traffic infraction.
The driver of the vehicle was 44-year-old Cody Allen Minix of Plymouth.
While checking on Minix’s status, Officer Taberski received a hit on an active NO-bond warrant through Pulaski County. Once confirmation of the warrant was completed Cody Minix was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail and held for Pulaski County.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
