Plymouth High School’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter celebrated outstanding achievements at the District competition held on Saturday. Several students excelled across various categories, with many earning spots to compete at the State level. Those advancing to State are marked with a star (*).
Competition Results include Calvin Cerrato*, who was 4th in Fundamental Accounting. For the Banking & Finance, PHS had five students ranked, 1st Jenna Blake*, 3rd Kadyn Ellery*, 5th Blake Mackey*, 6th Hayden Feldman, and 7th Haylee Busse. Kadyn Ellery, Hayden Feldmen, and Blake Mackey* took 1st place in the Financial Analyst Team, while Kevin Nataren was 5th for the Economic Research Individual.
Under Personal Financial Management, Davis Jones* brought home a 3rd, and Lillian Narantic* was 4th. Calvin Cerrato* was also first in Advanced Spreadsheet Applications, and Birkley Cooper* finished the event with a 4th place finish in Business Law & Ethics. Jason Weber* had a 4th place finish in Device Configuration & Troubleshooting and a first place for Computer Security.
Alexius Borys* brought home a 3rd place win for C++ Programming. At the same time, Katie Phipps* finished in 2nd place, Carleah Morrison* finished in 3rd place for Fundamentals of Desktop Publishing, and Abby Lewallen finished in 4th for Graphic Design Promotion.
The Broadcast News Production Team category had the PHS team third with members Zoe Allen, Sydney Heims, Chloe Horton, and Abby Lewallen*. Alexius Borys was third in Interview Skills, and Sophie Miller* was second in Human Resource Management.
The 1st place Prepared Speech winner was Marley Christy*, and Tynley Gantz* was 3rd for Presentation Management Individual.
Health Administration Procedures had 3 PHS students place with Haileigh Olivarez* 4th, Kevin Nataren* 5th, and Ana Slattery 6th. The Health Leadership / Special Topics category finished with PHS student Kyndall Marcum* as 2nd.
Plymouth High School students achieved 16 top-three placements in individual and team events. 25 students and teams advanced to the State competition.
Notable victories included 1st place in Banking & Finance, Financial Analyst Team, Advanced Spreadsheet Applications, Computer Security, and Prepared Speech.
