PCSC offers free summer meals for students

This summer, all Indiana students aged 18 and younger have access to free, nutritious meals and snacks at more than 1,000 locations statewide through the 2024 Summer Food Service Program.

Families can participate in the USDA Summer Meals Program in Plymouth at the high school and Jefferson Elementary School. Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability, and there will be no discrimination during the meal service. Meals will be provided, on a first-come, first-serve basis, at the Plymouth High School from June 10th through the 28th with breakfast being served from 7:30 to 8:15 each morning and lunch being served from 11:30 to 12:30. From July 1 through July 19th lunch will only be served from 11:30 to 12:30 and not on July 4th or 5th.

Jefferson Elementary School on Klinger Street will offer breakfast and lunch from June 10th to June 28th. Breakfast will be available from 7:45 to 8:30 each morning and lunch will be served from 11:30 to 12:30.

Free SFSP meals are still available to all children age 18 and under even if families are participating in Indiana SUN Bucks (Summer EBT).

For more than 40 years, the Summer Food Service Program has provided children ages 18 and under with access to free, nutritious meals and snacks during the summer months.

The Summer Food Service Program is a federal nutrition program funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and administered by the Indiana Department of Education. The program is designed to meet the needs of low-income children in areas where children may have limited access to good nutrition.
