The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded Thursday to a fatal crash on State Road 25 near U.S. 421.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2008 Nissan Rogue was traveling southbound on State Road 25 near U.S. 421 just before noon before coming to a stop in the left lane. At that time, a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse was also traveling southbound in the area. The Chevrolet swerved to avoid a collision with the Nissan but struck the rear of it. The driver of the Nissan sustained minor injuries.
The Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team was assisted at the scene by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Carroll County Coroner’s Office, Carroll County EMS, local fire department personnel, and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT).
