The St. Francisville City Council were informed this week that the old bridge will be closed for three days next week to allow for needed repairs.
Mayor T.J. Moyes indicated that the work would be done on the dates on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. (CST) each day to allow for the work to be completed. The closure dates are weather permitting.
In other business, the council renewed the garbage collection contract with Republic Services and approved an approximately $2.5 million fiscal year 2025-26 budget. The budgeted amount was the same as the previous year.
