The Marshall County Republican Party will conduct four caucuses on Thursday, December 5th, at 6 p.m. at its headquarters at 117 Water Street in downtown Plymouth.
The first caucus will fill the vacancy created on the County Council when Adam Faulstich was elected County Commissioner beginning January 1st. Faulstich still has two years left on the council term. The new Republican candidate must live in the County Council’s 4th District, which includes precincts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 8 in Center Township. Republican precinct representatives will hear from the candidates on December 5th and select a replacement for Faulstich.
The second caucus is filling the vacancy created by Janet Anglemyer's resignation as Bremen Town Clerk-Treasurer, effective December 31st. Anyone interested in filling the Bremen Clerk-Treasurer position must live in precincts 2, 3, 4, and 5 in German Township.
The third caucus on December 5th will fill the vacancy created by Ben Baker’s resignation as the German Township Trustee, effective on December 31st. Any registered Republican in German Township can file the appropriate paperwork with the Republican Chairman to be a candidate for the German Township Trustee position.
The fourth and final caucus on December 5th will fill a vacancy on the German Township Advisory. Don Meister has submitted his resignation effective December 31. A qualified candidate for the German Township Advisory Board must live in the township.
Any candidates interested in these open Republican elected positions should file a Declaration of Candidacy (CEB-5) and Statement of Economic Interest (CAN-12) forms no later than 72 hours before the Thursday, December 5th meeting.
