Following an indictment by a Johnson County grand jury a man from Shelbyville has been arrested for involvement in a 2006 double murder in Franklin.
Franklin Police arrested Michael Jerome James, 35, for the murders of 10-year- Blake Dickus and Chynna Dickus.

Few other details about the arrest have been released as they are protected by the grand jury proceeding and its investigation.
Blake and Chynna were found stabbed to death in their home in July 2006. Authorities have confirmed that there were several thefts and break-ins in the neighborhood which was mostly under construction in 2006.
James would have been 14 at the time of the murders. Police believe he lived in Franklin for several years after the crime occurred and has been in Shelbyville a few years.
He’s scheduled to make a court appearance on Thursday.
