Lawrenceville Police chief Jim White has issued his monthly department activity report for March 2025.
The department received 325 requests for an officer.
Those officers were involved in:
10 drug investigations
10 assault and battery investigations.
2 cases each of burglary and vandalism
4 cases of theft
5 cases of child abuse and neglect.
9 incidents of domestic violence
5 mental health cases
Lawrenceville police made 18 felony arrests,13 misdemeanor and 1 felony arrests and issued 7 ordinance violations.
They handled 8 traffic accidents-7 of those involved property damage and there was a single case of hit and run.
They also lent assistance to the Lawrence County Sheriffs Department and Illinois State Police 4 times in March.
