Marshall County Police arrested a Las Vegas man on Thursday after he provided fraudulent information to an officer.
At 7:22 p.m., Sargeant Jordan Rans stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction at Oak Drive and Jefferson Streets. During the traffic stop, the driver provided incorrect identification to the officer.
The driver was later identified as 25-year-old Jacob A. Gulino from Las Vegas, Nevada. He was arrested and lodged in the Marshall County Jail for the criminal charges of false informing and operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license. His cash bond was set at $250, and it was paid two hours and 45 minutes later, and he was released on bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
