According to the Marshall County Jail Booking Report sent out Thursday morning, Justin Michael Brown, 37, of 1467 Jute Road in Bremen, was booked into the Marshall County Jail at 11:40 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3rd. He is being held on a single charge of murder. Brown is currently being held in the county jail with no bond.
Early Wednesday morning, a 911 call led Marshall Sheriff’s Department officers to a home on Jute Road, west of Bremen, regarding a stabbing report.
Initially, a caller reported to the Marshall County Central Dispatch Center that a man had crashed his car in the front yard of a neighbor’s house. Deputies questioned the injured man after he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, and the conversation led officers to a home on Jute Road, where they found the body of 46-year-old Elizabeth Hite of Goshen, who was deceased. An autopsy on Thursday morning said Hite died from multiple stabs and ruled her death a homicide.
State Police told the media that the man injured in the car crash is a suspect in Hite’s death.
The Marshall County Prosecutors' Office told GIANT fm WTCA Thursday afternoon at 4:45, “We’re still gathering information at this time, but we will have a more complete update by the end of the week. An official press release will be sent out from our office soon.”
