Marshall County's unemployment rate in March was 3.3%, ranking us 48th among the 92 counties. In February, it was 4.3%, placing the county 54th out of 92 counties in Indiana. In March 2024, the unemployment rate was 4.2%, while in 2023, it recorded a rate of 3.6%, and in 2022, it was only 2.3%. In March 2021, the unemployment rate stood at 4.0%.
Looking at the counties surrounding Marshall, you will find Starke County at number 3 on the list with an unemployment rate of 4.7%, a vast improvement from their February rate of 6.60%. LaPorte County remained in 7th on the list of counties with a rate of 4.1%. In February, their rate was 5.4%.
