The Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) is accepting applications for the Residential Safe Room Program. This program offers a rebate for the installation of pre-fabricated safe rooms in Indiana residences.
IDHS will randomly select 33 applicants to receive a rebate for their safe rooms. If approved, homeowners will be reimbursed for 75% ($5,000 max) of their safe room installation costs.

The application period is open from Feb. 2 to Feb. 28, 2026.
