The Lawrence County Historical Society (LCHS) is hitting the road to Indiana for its next special program.

A group tour of Grouseland in Vincennes will take place on Monday, August 24th at 6 p.m. CDT. Grouseland is the name given to the William Henry Harrison mansion which was built in 1804 and was the home of the future president while he served as Indiana's first territorial governor. It was designated as a National Historical Landmark in 1960 and remains a popular tourist attraction.

The tour will be free of charge for members of the historical society while non-members who want to take the tour will have to play the applicable fee. Grouseland is located at 3 West Scott Street in Vincennes. Additional information is available by visiting the Grouseland website (www.grouseland.org).
