A woman suspected of throwing a bag of methamphetamine out the window of a vehicle before a traffic stop was arrested by Plymouth Police.
On Wednesday, September 18th, Officer Witkowski with the Plymouth Police Department spotted a male driving northbound on Michigan Street who was known to have an active arrest warrant. Officer Witkowski stopped the vehicle and apprehended Steven J. Myers of Walkerton on the warrant.
Also inside the vehicle was Heather L. Manns from Plymouth, who police suspected had thrown a bag of Methamphetamine out the passenger side window during the stop. She was arrested for possession of Methamphetamine, and both individuals were transported to the Marshall County Jail.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
