A Claypool man has been identified as the person found deceased in the Tippecanoe River.
On Wednesday at 6:45 p.m., deputies with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, following up on a welfare check, located a deceased male near the Germany Bridge public access area along the Tippecanoe River in Fulton County.
The Germany Bridge is located near 4213 N. 375 West in Rochester, Indiana.
The deceased has been identified as Brian Gambill, age 35, of Claypool, Indiana. The cause and manner of death remain under investigation by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and the Fulton County Coroner’s Office.
Agencies assisting at the scene included the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Lutheran EMS, Rochester Fire Department, and the Fulton County Coroner’s Office.
At this time, investigators do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the public.
