Morristown’s Derby Days offers soapbox derby racing, a variety of vendors, a parade, basketball, volleyball and soccer games, a concert and fireworks.
The three-day event begins Friday in northern Shelby County with the Adult Soap Box Derby Race at 6 p.m. on North Street in Morristown.
The beer garden will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. and Ezy Livin Band will perform at approximately 7:30 p.m. following the conclusion of the racing on North St.
Saturday is the marquee event day.
The Paul Otis Goble (P.O.G.) Run starts the day at 8:15 a.m.

The Derby Days Parade follows at 11 a.m. There is a new parade route this year due to construction.
Parade Check-In this year will occur at the corner of U.S. 52 and Asbury Road at the fire station. At 11 a.m., the parade will travel east along U.S. 52 through downtown to Poplar St.
The parade will turn left on Poplar St. and then left on North St. to return to the fire department.
Parade participants may only throw candy along U.S. 52.

The day continues with a 3-on-3 basketball tournament at 1 p.m. inside the elementary school gymnasium and an alumni volleyball match at 3 p.m.
A soccer alumni match starts at 5:30 p.m.
Breanna Faith performs on the Free Stage at 4:15 p.m. Bryson Cooper follows with the headliner performance at 5:30 p.m.
There will be a Foam Party in front of the Free Stage at 8 p.m.
The fireworks show is expected to start around 9:45 p.m.
There are two events scheduled for Sunday in Morristown.
The Morristown Boys & Girls Club Car Show begins registration at noon with judging at 3 p.m. at Morristown Park.
The Indy RC Modelers Open Show runs from noon to 4 p.m. at 10498 Blue River Road in Morristown.
