Deputy Haygood with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department observed a vehicle cross the centerline on Michigan Road north of Plymouth on Wednesday and conducted a traffic stop.
At approximately 9:30 in the morning, the County Deputy stopped a 2013 GMC Acadia. The license plate returned to Franklin Ramirez-Vega, 58, of Plymouth.
During the officer’s investigation, he learned that Ramirez-Vega did not have a valid driver's license. He was placed under arrest and Reichert-Knepp Towing was called to remove the vehicle from the road.
Franklin Ramirez-Vega was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked for driving while suspended with a prior, which is an A-Misdemeanor.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
