While working road patrol on Thursday, August 29th, Marshall County Deputy Matt Geiger stopped a white Jeep Cherokee on U.S. 30 at Elm Road because the driver had a suspended license.
The driver was identified as Aaron Travis Tyree Brown, 26, of Ft. Wayne.
Brown had also shown physical signs of impairment and agreed to field sobriety tests and a certified blood test. Brown had a blood alcohol content of .159%.
Aaron Brown was transported to the Marshall County Jail for processing. He was booked for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and charged with a felony due to a previous conviction and driving while suspended and held on a $1500 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
