A Fort Wayne man was arrested after a 911 call for a residential entry in the 15,000 block of U.S. 6, Friday evening, August 29th.
At 8:18 p.m., the Marshall County Central Dispatch received the 911 call. The original caller said that several residents in the home had locked themselves in an upstairs bedroom and that the suspect had left walking west along U.S. 6.
A short time later, an officer of the Marshall County Police Department arrived in the area and located a subject matching the description provided. The offender was identified as Steevens Lucien, 25, of Fort Wayne. He spoke with the county officer and admitted to having entered the residence.
Lucien was detained at the scene and later transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked in for residential entry as a level 6 felony and held on a $3,000 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
