The Plymouth Fire Department is investigating a structure fire that happened Sunday evening at Pretty Lake.
At 10:20 p.m., firefighters from the Plymouth Fire Department responded to 10335 Pretty Lake Trail for a house fire. As they arrived, flames were already coming out of the house.
Assistant Chief Garcia said the kitchen area sustained heavy fire damage. Firefighters were able to knock down the blaze quickly and kept the damage to one end of the house, although there was smoke and heat damage throughout the home.

The Marshall County GIS says the home is owned by Matthew and Diane Morris of South Bend. When the fire started, no one was at the lake cottage, and a neighbor called in the blaze. The fire is still under investigation, and the cause hasn’t been determined yet.
The Plymouth Fire Department had several units on scene, including a tanker. They also received mutual aid from the Culver Fire Department, which brought an additional tanker.
No injuries were reported.
