On September 7-9, over 100 men's and women's golfers, representing 19 teams and 12 colleges and universities, will travel to Plymouth to do battle in the Pretty Lake Intercollegiate, an All-Inclusive event hosted by Pretty Lake Golf Club and Bethel University.
Sunday afternoon offers the field an opportunity to see the golf course in a practice round, followed by 36 holes of competition on Monday beginning at 8:30 a.m., and the final 18 holes on Tuesday starting at 9:30 a.m., with free admission for spectators.
What makes this event special is the people of the Pretty Lake and Plymouth community, who will host teams for two nights in their homes, feed them meals, and cheer them on in the tournament - giving the student athletes a unique tournament experience, while showcasing the hospitality and graciousness of the people of Plymouth.
Best of all, through the efforts of volunteers, sponsors, and donors, as well as the competing teams, donated items and funds will be raised to support the Marshall County Neighborhood Center.
"We are thrilled to be hosting this event in Plymouth and excited to put on a great show for these student athletes," said Bethel University Director of Golf Chris Hess. "The people of the Pretty Lake Golf Club and the Plymouth community have been amazing, and the opportunity for us to help out the Marshall County Neighborhood Center is exactly the platform that we want our gifts and talents to be used for," added Hess. "All 19 teams will be battling it out to win a college tournament, but we are also going to have a lot of fun and hopefully bless some people at the same time!"
