After a rocky start to summer with several residents not keeping up with their property, all is well in the Town of Cloverdale, according to its town council president.
Earlier this summer, Cloverdale Town Council President Brandon Tancak was frustrated with the fact that through mid June there was a handful of properties around town that had not been mowed and others where not kept up.
As a result, he charged Town Manager Jason Hartman and Town Marshal Adam Hull to start enforcing an ordinance already on the books and start issuing red tags on property.
“You have 10 days from the time of the red tag to get it mowed. If not, we will come over and cut your yard, you uwill be cited and you will be invoiced from the town of Cloverdale. We have given you enough time,” Tancak had previously said.
Apparently the message and warning has been received, as Tancak told The Putnam County Post there is a huge difference across town.
“The red tag process is working great and we are making great progress,” Tancak said.
As for the reason why things are working now, Tancak pointed to the town’s ordinance and enforcement.
“It is because we are holding property owners accountable under the old ordinance related to maintaining their properties,” Tancak said.
