The Northgate Mobile Home Community, Red Rock Inn, and The Pointe are on the agenda for Monday’s Board of Public Works and Safety meeting at 6 p.m. in the second-floor meeting room of City Hall.
The city meeting includes reports from various city department heads, including the Building Commissioner, who will discuss the three business locations that have been in the news over the last couple of months.
Under Requests, the board may also consider the tabled request of Kevin Berger to install a fire pit on a concrete island in the city’s parking lot behind the Water Street Townhomes. They will also hear a request for prepayment of entertainment for Family Fun Day from the Park Department, and the final request is an alley closure for the Fall Fest from Saint Michael Church.
The City Council meeting begins at or about 6:30 and includes the second and third readings of an ordinance setting salaries for appointed officers and employees, as well as fire and police personnel, for the 2026 budget.
Council members will also consider the acceptance of donations and a resolution approving the application of Heartland Arts Center for a Commercial Revitalization Rebate Program Grant.
Other Business for the council may be the tabled request of monetary support from The REES, the quarterly update from Marshall County Economic Development Corporation, and a request of monetary support from Wild Rose Moon.
Council members may also get an update on ONE Marshall County and or the Comprehensive Plan along with an opportunity for the public to comment on agenda items.
