Christmas in Clinton make its return December 7

The event will feature a large heated 40x40 tent filled with festive activities for all ages, as well as a magical path to the North Pole, where Santa Claus and his friends await.

A beloved holiday tradition is making its return to Clinton this year with an exciting new twist. On December 7, from 4 to 7 p.m., families are invited to the 400 block of 9th Street, at the Debarcation Station next to the preschool, for Christmas in Clinton: Adventures to the North Pole.

The event will feature a large heated 40x40 tent filled with festive activities for all ages. Families will receive a “Christmas passport” upon arrival and embark on a global journey to learn about Christmas traditions from around the world. Each table inside the tent will share unique holiday customs, offer fun crafts, or treat visitors to cookies and hot chocolate.

Once passports are completed, families will follow a magical path to the North Pole, where Santa Claus and his friends await. Along the way, they’ll pass a live nativity scene with real animals, adding to the holiday spirit.

This community event is being spearheaded by local preschool teacher Anna Foltz, in partnership with Clinton businesses and organizations. The Little Italy Festival is leading efforts to decorate the North Pole area, while local South Vermillion High School sports teams and clubs are transforming the 9th Street light poles into dazzling holiday displays.

This celebration revives a Clinton Christmas tradition that was paused in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Foltz is seeking volunteers to help organize the tent and donations to cover the costs of the tent and heaters.
