The Bremen Holy Walk is an annual community reenactment event held in Bremen that recreates the first Christmas, or the birth of Jesus. This year, event dates are Dec. 5 and Dec. 6.

Participants follow a guided path through live scenes depicting the journey to Bethlehem, culminating in the nativity scene in a stable. It is a multi-denominational, volunteer-run event that aims to share the story of Jesus' birth and has been taking place for over 40 years.

The event is put on by a large number of community volunteers, including many from local churches. There are still many volunteer spots open, and the team is seeking a variety of people to assist.

They need five more volunteers to work in the gym both nights, four bus guides on Friday evening, and five on Saturday. There is a huge need for walking guides to take travelers along the path to Bethlehem.

On Dec. 5, nineteen guides are needed while on Dec. 6, there is a need for 24 guides. They also need one more Joseph for Dec. 5, eight additional angel choir members each night, three more wise men for Dec. 5, and four more wise men for Dec. 6.

If you’ve experienced the Holy Walk before and would like to be part of making it happen this year, please consider volunteering. Your involvement helps share the true message of Christmas with thousands of visitors each year.
