The Board of Trustees of the Illinois Great Rivers Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church has announced it has reached a financial and property settlement with the Beulah UMC, Sumner. The settlement will allow the Beulah church to disaffiliate from the United Methodist denomination. Member worshipping there now have organized a new congregation known as the Beulah Harvest Church. Among the settlement terms is the relinquishing of UMC interest in the real estate located at 1040 Beulah lane and 6948 Sumner Road. The Beulah Harvest Church will remove all references to the UMC from it's property including the "Cross and Flame" logo. The Conference will also release assets from the UMC Trust Clause.
