A lifetime resident of Plymouth, Barbara Ann Whitesell-Boggs, 86, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024 at Pilgrim Manor. Born in Plymouth at Home on February 7, 1938, she was the daughter of Webster W. Whitesell, Sr. and Okle L. Woodfill Whitesell.
She graduated from Plymouth Lincoln High School with the Class of 1956. Being very musical, she frequently sang in church, theatre, and was in choir from grade school until graduation.
Barbara was a faithful member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, joining the same day as her father on January 20, 1952. On August 25, 1979, she and Dale Boggs were married by former Judge Tom Huff at his Pretty Lake Home. Dale preceded her in death on August 27, 2002.
Barbara is survived by her sisters, Darlene Brundige and Mary Cramer; nieces, Jane Cramer and Debra Stout; and nephew, Steven Nelson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dale; parents, Webster and Okle; siblings, Webster Whitesell, Jr; and nephew, Ned Cramer II.
A private burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
The family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the staff at Pilgrim Manor – the care you provided to Barbara over the last 8 years will not be forgotten.
