A two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon, August 14th, on Michigan Road left three people hospitalized after one vehicle rolled over into a ditch, according to the Marshall County Sheriff's Department.

Deputy Haygood of the Marshall County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene in the 2600 block of Michigan Road in Plymouth at approximately 12:37 p.m. on August 14, 2026, after Marshall County Central Dispatch received a 911 call reporting the accident. The caller told dispatchers that one vehicle had rolled over and the other was in a ditch.

Arriving officers determined that a 2019 Ford Explorer driven by Diane Cole, 66, of Plymouth, had been rear-ended, pushed down into a ditch, and had rolled over. Both Cole and her passenger were wearing seatbelts but were trapped inside the vehicle. LaPaz Fire & EMS, along with Plymouth EMS, were able to safely extract both occupants.

The other vehicle involved, a 2017 Toyota Prius driven by Rosalinda Munoz, 77, also of Plymouth, sustained front-end damage from colliding into the rear of the Explorer and also went into the ditch.

Cole and her passenger were transported to Memorial Hospital for treatment. Munoz was airlifted from the scene by Lutheran Air Ambulance.

Lyons Wrecker Service was called to remove both vehicles from the ditch.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Department was assisted on scene by LaPaz Fire & EMS, Plymouth EMS, Lutheran Air Ambulance, and Lyons Wrecker Service.

The crash remains under investigation.
