Plymouth Police arrested two drivers during separate traffic stops this week, both for operating vehicles without valid driving privileges.
On Tuesday afternoon, September 22nd, at approximately 2:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Michigan Road and 2A Road. The driver, Kimberly Richard, 41, of Walkerton, was found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended license.
During the stop, officers also discovered that Richard had marijuana and THC vapes. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Marshall County Jail.
Richard was lodged on the pending charges of driving while suspended—prior and possession of marijuana.
The following evening, Wednesday, September 23rd, at approximately 10:12 p.m., a Plymouth Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Fifth and Jackson Streets.
The driver, Jose Alfredo Sanchez Cetina, 56, of Plymouth, was found to be operating the vehicle without a valid driver's license. Sanchez Cetina was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail.
Both individuals remain held at the Marshall County Jail pending further proceedings.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
