Plymouth Police arrested two drivers this week on charges related to driving with a suspended license in separate incidents.
On Wednesday, August 26, at 8:36 a.m., Officer Krynock with the Plymouth Police Department stopped a vehicle on U.S. 30 at U.S. 31 for a traffic infraction. The driver, 27-year-old Gervin Melgar Solares of Fort Wayne, was found to have a driver's license status of suspended-prior. Solares was lodged in the Marshall County Jail.
On Thursday afternoon, August 27, at noon, Patrolman Thornton with the Plymouth Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that had pulled into the parking lot of Grace Baptist Church at 1830 N. Michigan Street.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the registered owner and current operator of the vehicle, Bahley Jordann Davis, 26, of Bourbon, had a suspended license. Davis was taken into custody and lodged in the Marshall County Jail for driving while suspended.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
