Ruth Ann Anders, 91, said her last good-byes on this earth on Mothers Day, Sunday May 10th, in the home she loved and shared with many for 70 years. She was born to the late Vern and Mable Mae (Barber) Dipert on September 27, 1934 in Plymouth, Indiana. She had 9 siblings, who all have gone before her.
Ruth Ann was proud to be in the Plymouth High School class of 1952 where lifelong friendships were made. On April 3, 1954, at the Inwood Methodist Church, she married her childhood sweetheart, Donald G Anders. Together they built a family that was the center of Ruth’s world and she treasured every chapter of that life together. They began their life together by moving to St. Louis while Don was in the army. They settled in Plymouth on the west end of Myers Lake in 1956, where they lived in the same house all their lives.
Ruth Ann enjoyed country gospel music and a good cup of coffee. Many days you would find her on her back porch bird watching while she monitored the comings and goings on the lake. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens- canning and preserving most everything to share with family and friends. Her strawberry jam was considered a favorite by most. Pontoon picnics were a regular on a summer afternoon.
