With the calendar moved to September, downtown Greencastle will again be the place to be as First Friday returns on Sept. 4.

The festivities, hosted by Main Street Greencastle, will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. around downtown Greencastle and feature music, food, shopping and vendors.

As always, there will be family fun, as well as music on three stages, beginning at 7 p.m.

The Almost Home Stage will feature Crow Committee, the Toasted Coconuts will perform on the Moore's Bar Stage and Dabrk will perform on the Lost Hollow Stage.

"First Friday is about much more than the music. It is an opportunity for our community to come together, support local businesses and nonprofits, discover local vendors and organizations and simply have a great time together. We are fortunate to have so many people and organizations who contribute to making these evenings possible," said Tammy Keenan, Main Street Board President.

According to event organizers, residents and visitors can enjoy food and beverage trucks, restaurants and shopping downtown during the festivities.

"We are incredibly grateful to all our sponsors, community partners, downtown businesses, vendors and volunteers. First Friday is a great example of what can happen when our community invests in one another. We hope everyone will come downtown, enjoy the evening and help us celebrate all that makes Greencastle special," said Kate Knaul, director of Main Street Greencastle.
