Grissom Air Reserve Base Fire Department battled a house fire early Monday morning that took nearly two hours to extinguish.
According to a FB post shared by the department on July 6, the Grissom ARB Fire Department responded to a report of a Bunker Hill structure fire in the 100 block of South West St. just before 1:30 a.m.

Firefighters arrived on scene at 1:33am, established a water supply and initiated extinguishing the inferno. Grissom, Pipe Creek, Peru and Galveston Fire Departments all operated on scene, bringing nearly 30 firefighters to work on extinguishment.
Grissom Firefighters were eventually released from the scene at 5:19 a.m. and returned to service.
The fire department has yet to shared more information on the incident.
