The Red Hill Golf Salukis continued their strong play Thursday, September 24th with a second-place finish in the 12-team Black Diamond Conference (BDC) tournament held at the Franklin County Country Club near West Frankfort (Ill.).
The Eldorado Eagles won their first golf title with a 314 total for first place. They were led by sophomore medalist Bronson Tippett who shot 69 to win his second individual conference title by four strokes.
The Salukis carded a team total of 327, 13 strokes behind Eldorado for second. They were led by Nox Gray with 75, Baron Young with 82, Hudson Meek and Ross Moore each with 85, Bradley Buchanon with 87 and Jaxten Chansler 94.
Trico finished third in the team standings with 331 and Vienna fourth with 335.
The golfers will next see action Monday against Robinson at the Quail Creek Country Club before entering into regional play on Wednesday.
