An upcoming bridge deck overlay project will result in closures on Worthsville Road over I-65 in Johnson County.
On or after June 5, crews will begin conducting weekend closures of Worthsville Road over I-65 (at Exit 97). Worthsville Road will be fully closed at the following times:
On or after June 5 at approximately 9 p.m. through Monday, June 8 at approximately 4 a.m.
On or after June 12 at approximately 9 p.m. through Monday, June 15 at approximately 4 a.m.
Access to turn right on and off of the I-65 ramps will be maintained during the closures. There will be no impacts to mainline I-65.
A short-term, single-lane closure will be used on eastbound Worthsville Road over I-65 on June 5, from approximately 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., prior to the start of the full closure.

During the weekend closures, motorists should use the official detour routes which follow Exit 99 and Exit 95. Overall work is expected to take up to two weekends, weather permitting.
This project is part of a contract awarded to RAM Construction Services, Inc. in September 2025.
