Mark E. Olinger, 71, of Rochester, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of October 8, 2026, at his home.

On July 1, 1955, Mark Edward Olinger was born in Rochester.  He was a treasured son of Merrell Wayne and Mary L. Koons Olinger.  Growing up, he shared his childhood two brothers, Jeff and Marty.  Mark graduated from Rochester High School with his class in 1973.

As an OTR truck driving professional, Mark traveled with his loads with great reliability and dependability from coast-to-coast and boarder-to-boarder.  He logged over 8 million miles and traveled thru every continental state before retiring.

On May 1, 2026, Mark married his best friend Vickie Ann Funderburk in Rochester.  This followed a 23-year courtship. He enjoyed prairie dog hunting out west.  As a trap shooter, he was skilled and a great competitor, winning many competitions with fellow trappers.

Mark is lovingly remembered by his wife Vickie Ann Olinger, mother Mary Barnett, son David Wayne Olinger, a daughter Jessica (Adam) Goller, and a brother Jeff (Kim) Olinger all of Rochester; a step-son Brock (Courtney) Funderburk; 6 Grandchildren Brooklyn Goller, Olivia Goller; the Funderburk step-grandkids Payton, Morgan, Allison and Brock Jr.; step-greatgrandchildren Dean Funderburk and Mary Jane Price; his mother-in-law Rhea Funderburk.

Preceding Mark in death are his father Merrell Olinger, brother Martin Lee Olinger, stepfather Howard Barnett and father-in-law Charlie Funderburk.

A celebration of Mark's life was conducted at the Good Family Funeral Home.
