Lawrence County States Attorney Brady Waldrop reports two men were given prison terms during recent sentencing hearings in Lawrence County Circuit Court (LCCC). 47 year old Derek Wilson of Bridgeport was sentenced to 10 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) to be followed by 4 years of mandatory supervised release for Illinois Class 2 Felony Domestic Battery. 43 year old Allen Brinkman of Oblong received 4 years in the IDOC to be followed by 6 months of mandatory supervised release on a charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 Illinois Felony. That sentence will run concurrently with one Brinkman is already serving from Crawford County.
