Lawrence County States Attorney Brady Waldrop has announced the sentencings of three men recently in circuit court.
33-year-old Shawn Wille of Lawrenceville was sentenced on a charge of Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, a Class 3 Illinois Felony and was given 3 1/2 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) to be followed by 6 months of mandatory supervised release.
26-year-old Garret Woods of Lawrenceville was charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 1 Illinois Felony and received 8 years in the IDOC to be followed by 1 year of mandatory supervised release.
37-year-old Derrick Macklin, a former Lawrence Correctional Center inmate, was sentenced for Aggravated Battery of a Correctional Institution Employee, a Class 2 Illinois Felony and was the recipient of a 3-year sentence to run consecutive with his current IDOC sentence being served at another Illinois prison site. The sentence also includes 6 months of mandatory supervised release.
